"So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves! Let’s exalt him on high and lift up our praises in public; let all the people and the leaders of the nation know how great and wonderful is Yahweh, our God! Whenever he chooses he can dry up a river and turn the land into a desert. Or he can take a fruitful land and make it into a saltwater swamp, all because of the wickedness of those who dwell there. But he also can turn a barren wilderness into an oasis with water!

He can make springs flow into desert lands and turn them into fertile valleys so that cities spring up, and he gives it all to those who are hungry. They can plant their fields and vineyards there and reap a bumper crop and gather a fruitful harvest. God will bless them and cause them to multiply and prosper."

In late 2022, the Holy Spirit began to give Tim a dream and was impressing upon him about an oasis in the desert. As He often does, His plans came progressively and in mid 2023, the Lord continued to impress upon Tim through prophetic visions and words His call to plant a new church called, "Oasis Glory Church" in the Illawarra and Beyond. To move forward from Destiny Alive Church, as the Lord has called us to a new era.

For those perceptive in the Spirit, they know (Heb. 5:14) and can clearly see that there is a vast spiritual wasteland in our society, even in many parts of the established church.

 

Therefore, the Holy Spirit is calling followers of Jesus to be involved in a new move to establish His grace, weighty glory, and word of truth in the earth. We view then two key elements that the Holy Spirit is revealing to His Church for effective and powerful Christian living:​

i. That His power is to enable us to live a holy godly life that reflects the character & integrity of Jesus Christ; and

ii. That the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20; Mk. 16:15-20) includes the imperative to "make disciples" and that the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit are present to confirm that Jesus is alive and present in the world today.​​

Further, Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 24 that "the end times" will be marked by error, deception, and persecution of people who are followers of Him. We earnestly caution those who have faith in Christ then, to beware of much of the "white noise" and deception within the globe which is an assignment from Satan to sidetrack people from the truth of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

Progressing, in the early verses of Paul's 2nd letter to Timothy Chapter 3, the Apostle writes prophetically that hard times will come and arrogant sinfulness will be rampant in our world, even among those who confess Jesus as their Saviour. Essentially, these people are lovers of self and all manners of pleasure over love for God. So, Paul strongly encourages the true believer in Christ to avoid such people who have a form of godliness but who deny the very freedom power of the Holy Spirit.

In short, we are in such perilous times as the Scripture plainly describes. There has never been such a time in human history for the believer in Jesus to be immersed in the Word and the Spirit. Many of today's churches are experiencing a spiritual vacuum as they are lacking the tangible presence of God and the simple truth of His word. God's Spirit is calling for the spirits of confusion and delusion to be destroyed in our land by witnesses of the One who is both Faithful and True (Rev. 19:11). He is calling these witnesses to be warriors in the land for Him, fighting and making war against injustice and all that the Lord Jesus Christ deems unholy.

Why?

"Dear friends, don’t overlook this one fact: With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord does not delay his promise, as some  understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed. Since all these things are to be dissolved in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godliness as you wait for the day of God and hasten its coming. Because of that day, the heavens will be dissolved with fire and the elements will melt with heat. But based on his promise, we wait for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells."
